My titles always suck. But Denver was struck by yet another freak snow storm this Fall, yay icey roads, but yay cozy bed cuddle times. Hot cocoa, nom nom.

At this time I should be continuing to study for my exam in a cultural anthropology class, but my mind remains to be too scatter-brained to focus on subjects like primitive communism and the feminist approuch to anthropology...
Last night Scott and I enjoyed a casual night at Kel's and Seans with other friends, with a trip out for amazing Korean BBQ and a trip to the Korean equal to Wal-Mart. They must have picked up on the anime kids, because the pockey was marked up to 3-12 dollars a box, haha. Night ended with a movie I can't quite remember the title to, had something to do with a skeleton, mutant and horrible faux 50s era black and white sci fi. Then, today Scott and I slept in, then drove down to the springs, appropriately for an armor party, where we discussed mando armor for a new girl in the group and the Colorado symbol for our clan detachment. Then we all ventured to CiCi's Pizza for a cheap but delish dinner.
One week until my first thanksgiving break with Scott and at CU, excited <3. |

Its been 5 days since the creation of goodsearch for brwi and we have almost $4. That is amazing. I wonder how many people are using it. Baked dog treats today at Ninas which we are hoping to sell at vet offices for $3 a bag. Yay for fundraising... trying to be energetic and talking, not so well while hacking my lungs out every 2 minutes...

Iam so happy with these guys! They are 14.5" long cut from wood panel. Despite how similar they look, each one IS handpainted with acrylic.
Iam saving these for MFF but will be making more if they all sell out. They will be priced at $60. ---
I'd like to thank people for the hoodie orders by the way! I haven't reached critical mass yet. |

I have my 46'' TV, after a week of DRAMA. Christ, I am tempted to never buy anything from JB-HIFI again. BUT THEY SELL DVDS SO CHEAP. ;_; 46'' is a lot of LCD. It is going to be glorious. Due to how my iPhone was destroyed, I got it replaced with a service part at no charge. *happy* Only downside is my Fighter Jet skin was completely destroyed. That's cool, I'll probably buy one of those custom skins anyway. ;D

( VIDYA GAEM )
ALSO!! Before I was just throwing around the idea of going back to school just cos I was kinna bored and unsatisfyed with my art and the fact that I was becoming "complacent", but I think I really am going to go back to school now. cambryn and her friend Matt took me to Gemini School of Art and man, it is perfect. We did a little portfolio review with the owners and just talked with them for a couple hours and it was really inspiring, I feel like if I did do the course there, all the missing pieces would be filled in, and I could get a job anywhere. Anyway, dunno how I could pay for it but I'm just excited, I hope I can figure out a way to get in. |

| Thanksgiving for Vegetarians? |
[Nov. 14th, 2009|01:51 pm] |
Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Normally I just eat side dishes, but since I'm trying to eat properly these days, I'd like to include some kind of vegetarian protein with my Thanksgiving dinner.
In the past I've sauteed tofu and onions together but...I really suck at cooking tofu. It never tastes good when I make it. I could just make my usual dinner (egg + cheese mixture toasted on bread) but I'm not sure how well that'll go with the usual thanksgiving sides. And I feel lame eating the exact same thing I eat every other night on Thanksgiving as well.
So does anyone have suggestions for light, healthy, high-protein vegetarian dishes that might work well as a Thanksgiving main course? I only need to make enough for myself, as everyone else in my family will be eating turkey. I'm a fan of tofu, eggs, and cheese, so any of the above is a suitable meat replacement for me. I'm not such a fan of imitation meats (like tofurkey).
I've been browsing veggie websites and they're recommending things like lasagna which doesn't feel very "Thanksgiving" to me. Or overly sweet and heavy things like butternut squash ravioli.
I admit I'm a ridiculously picky eater so finding a new dish to make is always tricky for me, but I figure maybe some of you have some good suggestions.
Edit: Ooo. My dad and I just came up with an idea for some kind of stuffing-egg-potato-onion Thanksgiving skillet. This has the potential to be very delicious! |

Since people got so excited for these...
Hoodies are available for now: missmonster.bigcartel.com/
I will take orders until i reach my max work load. Orders will then be closed and will re-open once i get enough done. This is to prevent me from getting bogged down.
Hoodies will take 2-3 weeks to produce. If you can't wait that long, *please* don't buy one.
Iam working on green.

That is the hoodie these are printed on. Since i can't get a decent picture of myself wearing one hopefully that helps. The hoodies are BLACK. |

So I was going to do a really meaningful well thought out post the other day, but then Pokemon happened and I kinda haven't stopped spazzing about it.
SO
AMAZING
YOU
GUYS.
And deserves its own ranting post later.
Not to mention the dub of the second half of the Full Battle premiered today \o/ GOOD TIMES. I've done nothing but RP and draw after work for the last couple days, And with Thanksgiving just around the corner it is HECTIC AS HELL trying to organize all the dogs who are sleeping over for the weekend.
ONE THE NOTE of pretending to have a social life: Going to get my hair done and attempt to spend the evening chilling with Red \o/ We'll see how that goes. Though really I just want to come home early and draw more Pokemon. lolo priorities.
ALSO DON'T FORGET sign up for a christmas card 8|b |

Easy, Hiro's power from Heroes. Flying or invisibility would be fun, but the ability to control time and space would be the most useful to me.
I wouldn't use the time travel aspect of it, as I've seen enough science fiction to know that's a bad bad idea. But the simple ability to pause time for a bit would be niiiice. I always feel like there's not enough time in the day to do everything I need/want to do (work, fun, sleep). Not to mention...the ability to teleport to work would solve the problem of my horrid commute. |

I'd really like to start using this journal as it should be, a journal. I've had an account on this site since 2004, and I adore going back and reading my accounts from those years ago. So, realizing I'm not taking this advantage any more is enough to make me sad. Keeping a journal used to organize my thoughts better, eased my conscious. I know not if my thoughts/personal experiences are truely exciting, but foremost this livejournal is primarly for myself, then, others.
I'll be creating a personal filter for things concerning sex life/angst/very personal opinions. Let me know if you wish to be added.
Anyways, the reason, the real one, for creating this journal was to talk about my thoughts about my future pursuit of the military almost immediately after college.
( It's behind here just in case I have some of those folks who are funny feeling about the US Military... )
That's about it, until next time... Recovering from the feast-fest I have at a local Korean BBQ joint with friends (you know the kind with the grill in the center of the table and you cook your own meat.. cool and tasty)... and I have an armor party, essentually a get together for star wars costumers to make armor, to attend tomorrow. Chow. |

What can it be guys?! No fever, swollen tonsils or nodes or stuff. But it might be too early for that. Extreme disappointment is having a boyfriend come tomorrow(for FIVE days!) but because of this, ..no :( FFFF. BODY WHY. I JUST HAD A COLD AND GOT BETTER A FEW DAYS AGO. |
